FAQ
How does a bioethanol fireplace work?
Bioethanol burns cleanly and almost without residue – no smoke, soot, or chimney required. Combustion is efficient and safe when the usage instructions are followed. When used properly, bioethanol is completely safe. All Le Feu fireplaces are equipped with a patented safety burner that securely contains the bioethanol. Only bioethanol with a purity of 96 to 97% may be used. It's important to only refill cold burners and to keep open flames away.
Is the fireplace suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, many models in the Le Feu range are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They can be placed on a balcony or terrace in summer and brought indoors in winter. For outdoor use, we recommend a matching outdoor cover to protect the fireplace from rain and weather.
How do I clean my fireplace?
To keep your fireplace in perfect condition, clean it only when completely cooled using a damp cloth. For white models, we recommend regular cleaning with a mild cleaner to maintain the bright finish. Stainless steel parts should be treated with a stainless steel care product, wiping in the direction of the grain to avoid scratches and preserve the shine.
Is bioethanol safe for indoor use?
Bioethanol is a safe option for indoor use. It burns cleanly without harmful residues or odors. Still, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's safety instructions and to ensure proper ventilation for safe use.
Do I need a chimney to operate a bioethanol fireplace?
No, bioethanol fireplaces do not require a chimney since they burn cleanly and smoke-free. They can be used flexibly in various rooms or even outdoors without the need for a chimney.
